Castellani & Giuliano: The Judith H. Siegel Collection, Sotheby's, New York, December 6, 2006, lot 139.
Condition
Very good condition. The cherub has exquisite painterly detail, with some very light surface abrasion and minor wear to the gilding that does not affect the cripsness of detail. Surrounding enamel with a minor scratch near the bail, otherwise intact. Pearls of slightly creamy white bodycolor with slight rose overtones and good luster. Metal surfaces on the reverse have minor surface scratches due to wear. Signed C.G. on the fleur-de-lis below the bail.
