Catalogue Note
Aird & Thomson, the partners of which were formerly employed by William Clark Shaw (d. 10 February 1865), goldsmith and jeweller of Glasgow, was established at 1 Renfield Street, Glasgow, probably during 1865. Two years later they were at 117 Buchanan Street, Glasgow, moving some years later to 139 in the same street.
