Condition

Colour: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is deeper and richer, with the paper tone tending more towards cream in the original. The illustration fails to fully convey the iridescent quality of the pigment apparent in the original. Condition: This work is in very good condition. The sheet is hinged to the backing board at intervals on the reverse and there is associated light undulation to the paper. The top and bottom edges are deckled. There are a number of artist's pin holes scattered along the top of the composition, and another right of centre towards the lower edge.
