Condition

- Small old paper cracks could be found on the painting. - Minor loss of paint could be seen along old paper creases. - Loss of white pigment could be seen at the lower centre of the painting due to age. - Otherwise, generally in good condition.

「至於『梅雲堂』所藏花鳥畫的代表作,當推一九四七年的大中堂〈嘉耦圖〉。此圖取題寓意佳偶天成,深為雙親所愛,大千世丈亦許為得意之作,選入一九七二年在美國舉行的〈四十年回顧展〉。此畫雖云倣五代黃荃(約903-965),卻極有創意。畫中精工細緻的描金朱荷,在墨綠漬染的田田茂葉的襯托下,富麗堂皇而不沾匠俗之氣。濃蔭中的雙棲鴛鴦,色彩斑斕,悠然自得。全畫氣度宏大,層次井然,不愧為平生力作。」
