Description

  • Polychrome Pottery
of shallow rounded form with everted rim and ring foot, in the circular medallion under a transparent green glaze with pale blues and brick reds, four animal figures, one peacock, rabbit, deer, and lion interspersed with plant motifs surrounding a flower with red petals, medallion encircled by a frieze of wave motifs, around the rim alternating floral motifs and crescents, on the reverse twelve rounded rosettes.

Condition

Overall good condition, craquelure and abrasions to glazed surface. On the underside few abrasions, as viewed.
