Description
la divinité assise sur une double base lotiforme vêtu d'un fin dhoti brodé, sa jambe repliée, la gauche étirée à l'extérieur du socle, sa main droite en vitarkamudra, arborant des bijoux précieux et un long collier de fleurs, le visage serein portant l'urna sous une couronne à trois pointes, la base gravée d'une inscription en caractères sancrits ; la base non scellée

Catalogue Note
The inscription can be translated as below :
"In the year 785 (1665 A.D.) (this image of) Tara Devi was made by son Rumbu Simna in the shape of (his) mother might achieve pundarika..."
It is interesting that the inscription seems to specifically state that the image was made in the image of deceased mother. The style of floral decoration on the dhoti shows contemporary Mughal influence.
