Condition

The following condition report was kindly provided by Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.: This painting on panel has been cradled. The painting has been recently cleaned and retouched. The retouches address two cracks in the panel – one in the center left side and one on the lower left in the shadowed part of the grass. The lower crack is about 4 inches in length. There are a couple of old thin cracks to the original panel elsewhere on either side, but these did not receive retouches. The only other retouches address a thin vertical scratch from the bottom edge measuring about 3 inches. The paint layer is very fresh and the work should be hung as is.
