Condition

Original canvas. There are stretcher marks along the edges and there is protrusion in the upper right quadrant of the canvas. There is a tiny fleck of paint loss near the upper right corner and a small spot of thinning paint near the lower right corner. The wide area of paint running from the figure's tie across the lower right quadrant is thinly painted in places and scattered with minor areas of paint separation. There are a few tiny specks of staining across the surface. Under ultraviolet light there appear to be no signs of retouching. Held in a stained wood frame.
