Condition

Colours: The colours in the catalogue illustration are fairly accurate, although the overall tonality is deeper and richer in the original work which has more aquamarine hues most notably to the centre of the composition. Condition: This work is in very good condition. There are scattered unobtrusive surface irregularities which would appear to be original to the work’s execution. Close inspection reveals unobtrusive networks of stable craquelures at the centre of the composition and in several other areas below this in the lower left quadrant. No restoration is apparent when examined under ultraviolet light.
