Condition

Oil on board. The surface is covered with a layer of varnish. There is a horizontal line running across the top edge and bottom edge of the painting and a vertical line running along the left and right sides of the painting presumably from the frame. Under UV no pigments appear to fluoresce but varnish prevents a conclusive analysis. Held in a gold painted gilded frame. Unexamined out of frame.
