Dye-transfer print, printed before 1960. Flush-mounted to an aluminium board. Signed, titled and dated Two Liqueurs, New York 1951, annotated Print made before 1960 and Ref. 6419 by the photographer in pencil, with stamps 'Signed prints of this photograph not exceeding 16' and 'Dye transfer print made before 1960' with number and date in pencil, and with the photographer's Condé Nast copyright stamp on a paper label fixed to the reverse, and with a 'Irving Penn Studio' stamp on the reverse. Framed.

Condition

The print is flush-mounted to thin aluminium board which is backed with light brown paper. The print is in excellent condition. It is partially minimally bumped at the lower edge towards the right. With two tiny spots of superficial paper loss at the lower edge towards the left and also at the left edge towards the bottom. With random very light, small superficial scratches only visible in raking light. On the reverse, stamped 'Irving Penn Studios/ 80W. 40, N.Y.', signature, annotations by the photographer and all other stamps related to the work are on a paper label fixed to the reverse. Framed.
