Left arm and end of penis broken and missing, and feet eroded, all as visible in the catalogue illustration; Old repair to the back of the head.

Catalogue Note

A l'agressivité du geste - bras droit levé, brandissant une lame - répond l'accumulation des charges suspendues aux bracelets, tandis que la force du visage aux traits puissants est accentuée par  la patine noire, suintante.

Cette statue bochio s'inscrit dans le culte vodun et relève de la magie protégeant des dangers venus de l'extérieur, et de tout motif de discorde ou de litige à l'intérieur du groupe. Il menace pour préserver l'équilibre de la société.
