  • 18 karat gold,black opal,colored diamond,necklace
Collet-set with carved black opals, alternating with emerald-cut diamonds of brown and yellow hue weighing approximately 3.40 carats, length 16½ inches, signed J.E.C. Co., numbered M4839, together with 19 additional black opal links.

Condition

The mounting in very good condition and nicely finished. Four opals with minor to moderate crazing. The opals present moderate to strong play-of-color with varying degrees of blue, green, red, orange, yellow, and violet (more deeply blue colored and slightly less vibrant orange and green than pictured in the printed catalogue). The diamonds are in medium shades of yellow and golden brown, approximately VS-SI clarity. Fitted with a safety clasp.
