Each surmount of cluster design set with marquise-, pear-shaped and brilliant-cut diamonds, clip fittings, signed Van Cleef & Arpels NY and numbered, maker's marks, French import marks, suspending a detachable drop set with French- and calibré-cut rubies in concealed settings, to a diamond set cap, drops unsigned, pochette.

Condition

Ruby of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece may contain ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin will be required before import of rubies into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information. Stamped PT950 for platinum. Only the diamond surmounts are by Van Cleef & Arpels. Signed Van Cleef & Arpels, N. Y and numbered 41436.4. Diamond countdown as per Van Cleef & Arpels archives: 8 brilliant-cut diamonds weighing 5.44 carats; 14 marquise-shaped diamonds weighing 11.16 carats; 14 pear-shaped diamonds weighing 8.47 carats. G-H colour, VS-SI clarity. Ruby drops are a later addition and not by Van Cleef & Arpels. Rubies well matched in colour, with typical crystal inclusions, minor nicks and abrasion visible with the aid of a 10x lens. Signs of little wear to the metal. In good condition.
