Sapphire and diamond bracelet, 1930s

Description

The central panel highlighted with a round cabochon sapphire set within a surround of baguette and circular-cut diamonds and calibré-cut sapphires, continuing to a mesh of sapphire beads and single-cut stones, accented with arched diamond set motifs and two cabochon sapphires, length approximately 165mm.

Condition

Metal tested as platinum. Sapphires well matched in colour, typical crystal inclusions visible under close inspection, some scratches and nicks. Accompanied by Gem Tech Lab report no. 10-B-2060 stating that the three main cabochon sapphires show no indication of thermal treatment. Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 18.00 carats, G-I colour, VS-SI clarity on average. Signs of normal to extensive wear to the metal, scratches consistent with age. Clasp secure. Well preserved and in good condition.
