Condition

The sculpture was in excellent condition. It displayed a uniform opaque black patina that was in excellent condition. Tiny pits in the bronze were noted in areas throughout the surface, which were inherent to the cast. On the proper left leg above the knee a small cluster of tiny nicks about 1/4" in diameter was detected. No significant scratches or abrasions were found on the sculpture. A protective wax coating was observed on the surface. The sculpture was structurally sound. (This condition report has been provided courtesy of Wilson Conservation.)
