Description

  • RUBY, DIAMOND, PEARL
Designed as a coiled snake holding a button-shaped pearl, the head inset with a cushion-shaped diamond, the tail highlighted with rose stones, to cabochon ruby eyes, and a circular-cut diamond surmount, French assay marks.

Condition

Mounted in silver and gold. French import mark to pin, French maker's mark to stem of brooch. Button-shaped pearl measuring approximately 13.45mm, tests as natural saltwater, displaying orient, slightly textured surface. Principal diamonds weighing approximately 0.75 tinted yellow/brown, estimated clarity SI2, and 0.30 carats, estimated colour I, estimated clarity SI1, remaining diamonds bright and lively. Scratches to mount consistent with wear. In good condition.
