  • GOLD, AMETHYST
Comprising: a necklace designed as a graduated series of oval amethyst mounted in pinched collet and beaded surrounds, length approximately 450mm, French import marks, a pair of ear pendants each similarly set with variously cut amethyst, hook fittings, French import marks, fitted case; together with a ring centring on a mixed-cut amethyst with a surround of circular-cut stones, size J.

Condition

Fitted case for earrings and necklace, missing pendant cross jewel. Necklace: Weighing approximately 93.9 grams. Amethyst graduated in size, largest measuring approximately 21mm x 28mm x 14.3mm and smallest approximately 12.3mm x 15.7mm x 16.5mm, medium purple, well matched, typical inclusions visible with magnification. One stone with cabochon underside, not faceted. Evidence of a pendant fitting removed from central link to necklace. Clasp fitting slightly stiff. Earrings: Stones or varying tones from light purple to strong purple, largest stones measuring approximately 12.6mm x 13.4mm x 9mm. Hooks with catch. Ring: associated to the demi-parure but not matching. Central stone surface worn consistent with age and wear, medium purple with surrounding stones varying from medium purple to light greyish purple. Mounts scratched consistent with age and wear. In good condition.
