  • AMETHYST, PEARL, DIAMOND GOLD
In the form of a Maltese cross set with pear-shaped amethyst to the cardinal points and cabochon foil backed rock crystal to the centre and pearls, suspending an associated pearl drop, accented with circular-cut and rose diamonds, pendant detachable.

Condition

Largest pearl drop tests as natural saltwater, measuring approximately 14.4mm in length, some surface blemishes, low lustre. Pearls on Maltese cross probably whole button and baroque pearls, of various shapes and sizes. Amethysts of varying saturations of purple, typical inclusions visible with magnification, nicks, scratched and abraded tables, central foil backed rock crystal. Diamonds bright and lively. Both components of jewel are 19th Century the drop is later. Scratches and indentations to mount consistent with age and wear. In good condition.
