Catalogue Note

Accompanied by a Richard Mille Warranty Card and Instruction Manual in a leather folder, a presentation box in an outer card box.  Further accompanied by a "Richard Mille : Éditions Cercle D'art"  large hardcover book with outer card box.

Richard Mille introduced his first watch in 2001 and has immediately become one of the most popular names in the watch industry.  He possesses an incredible ability to blend old-world watchmaking tradition with futuristic materials and high-end technology for performance watches that epitomize haute horlogerie.  Passionate about mechanics, Richard Mille's designs were inspired by the technological excellence of the Formula 1 car in many areas such as, performance, rigidity, resistance, reliability, materials, and functions. His objective is to create a watch that is rigidly constructed using the strongest and lightest materials, that performs reliably under extreme circumstances, and is able to withstand all kinds of vibrations and shocks.

The RM008 split seconds chronograph with tourbillon is without doubt one of Richard Mille's most complicated designs by far.  Composed of over 500 parts, its chronograph function virtually eliminates the jumping effect of the chronograph hands, allowing for more precise measurement of elapsed time.  The split second chronograph function is the most desirable among racing aficionados, as it enables the wearer to simultaneously time two distinct event during a car race.  Thus, the RM008 embodies the pinnacle of Richard Mille's enthusiasm for F1 and its technological feats.
