  • diameter 38 mm
• cal. 11.87M, gilt lever movement, bi-metallic compensation balance, stamped 'L. Kramer & Co., Fournisseurs de Sa Majesté le Khédive, Le Caire, seuls agents pour l'Egypte' • matte silvered dial, Breguet numerals, subsidiary seconds • gold case with green enamel, the decoration comprising Arabic calligraphy depicting the names of the Prophet Muhammad and the names of his wife and inner circle • dial and movement signed • confirmation from Longines archives that the watch was ordered on 1 October 1912

Condition

Movement running while cataloguing, an overhaul would be recommended in order for it to be fully operational. Dial with patina and some signs of wear. Case polychrome enamel back slightly rubbed on the edge, the center with signs of wear. Overall this is a very interesting piece with highly significant islamic interest.
