Condition

Overall in very good condition. This lamp is being consigned by descendants of the original owners (see provenance in catalogue description) and the shade, base and finial by all accounts have originated together. The shade with approximately 10 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout. The rare “Twisted Vine” base is in excellent condition, showing very minimal wear to the gilt bronze surfaces, and with a few occasional small and minor traces of surface oxidation, consistent with age and very gentle use. The base components, sockets, finial, and shade leading all show a very consistent gilt patina throughout, further reinforcing that all elements originated together. The finial with a few very minor and shallow surface indentations.
