A rare Florentine maiolica armorial drug jar
late 15th/early 16th century

the ovoid body with short flared neck and double strap handles, painted on a testa di cavallo shield with the arms of the Ridolfi family of Florence, within a laurel wreath reserved against a ground of peacock feathers in ochre, manganese, green and blue, marked TB below one handle ( some restoration)
