Condition

Overall in excellent condition. The top rim of the vessel with a superb metallic gray glaze which continues into the interior approximately 1 ½ inches. With a small chip to the base of the vase at the foot, which has been darkened to decrease its visibility. Also with a minute fleck to the outer rim of the upper metallic glazed portion. The edge of the glaze to one small portion just above the foot of the vase with some of the earthenware visible, which is inherent in the making. The body is a brilliant turquoise color. Examined under blacklight and no evidence of restoration. A very early work executed by the artist during the early years of her tenure at Cranbrook.
