RUBY AND DIAMOND PLAQUE DE COU, CIRCA 1905

Centring on a giardinetto millegrain-set with calibré-cut rubies and rose diamonds, within a frame of ribbon, bow and floral swag design similarly set with rose diamonds, suspending a pear-shaped diamond drop, to a wide moiré silk ribbon, length approximately 360mm, later drop detachable.

Accompanied by an associated case Maingourd, Paris, 2 Rue de la Paix, embossed to the exterior with the initials E.P.A surmounted by a coronet*** Very well made, moving parts well articulated. Diamonds bright and lively. Rubies purlish red, well matched. The necklace could benefit by substituting the silk ribbon with a new one. Secure encastre' clasp. Light scratched to mount consistent with wear, tarnished in some parts. In good condition.
