Catalogue Note

The current lot has been presented at the exhibition Eurodomus 3, Milan in May 1970. A contemporary photograph shows this model in situ (reproduced on the Certificate of Authenticity from the Gio Ponti Archives).

The table was shown alongside Gio Ponti's stand named 'La Casa Adatta' (The Suitable House) together with the 'Serie Apta' furniture. "The 'Apta' pieces are all easily moved because they are equipped with rollers (La Pietra op. cit. p. 377), as can also be seen in the current lot.

Sold with a Certificate of Authenticity from the Gio Ponti Archives.
