Condition

Pile ranges from 1/6 inch with dark browns oxidized to knotheads, some spot foundation, and some areas of foldwear and light wear also low to knotheads, minor repiling to dark browns---now faded, mostly in lower left corner. Scattered minor spot stains. Upper end with original 2 inch madder red kilim and remnants of knotted warp fringes; small reweaves in kilim. Lower end missing end guard stripes, now with small losses into guard border, secured with blanket stitch. Sides with later two cord madder red wool selvages. Lower right corner with small 1/2 inch slit to guard stripe. Very supple handle, lustrous wool, good color and overall condition.
