the first rectangular with bombé sides and gold à cage mounts, decorated in silver and gold piqué with animals amidst ruins, the lid underside set with an enamel portrait miniature, attributed to André Rouquet (1701-1758), of a Portrait of a Lady wearing a pink dress; the second coffer-shaped, with impressed rocaille decoration and gilt-metal mounts, the lid with central reserve decorated with a silver piqué flower sprig

Condition

There appear to be no major defects or alterations. There is some wear to the boxes consistent with age. These boxes are sold as seen on first hand inspection.
