  • Manuscript on vellum and paper
280 leaves, 122mm. by 90mm., apparently wanting a few leaves and slightly misbound, four full-page miniatures in coloured wash on bright yellow backgrounds within ornate frames: (i) fol.1v, Annunciation to Anne, (ii) fol.104v, three Maries at Christ's tomb, (iii) fol.141v, Pentecost, (iv) fol.181v, the Cross flanked by trumpeting angels, each facing decorated page with initial line of text formed of animals, decoration in borders throughout with numerous cartouches, foliage sprays, temples, birds, angels and saints in pen and ink touched with colour wash, signed by the scribe and illuminator Vartan, original dark leather binding over wooden boards stamped with floral sprays and fruit, additional colophon noting restoration by Sahak in 1831
