Catalogue Note

The present work was executed circa 1916-1917 and is a similar composition to, and of the same date as, a Henry picture similarly titled in the  collection of the Model Arts and Niland Gallery, Sligo. The setting is almost certainly Keel Lake, Achill Island.

We are grateful to S.B. Kennedy for his kind assistance with the cataloguing of this work.
