Condition

Canvas is lined. Pressed craquelure visible mainly in the sky. Surface also slightly flattened and abrated from lining and cleaning. Old retouching at edge of canvas noticeable mainly upper right corner. A few tiny scattered specs of house paint throughout. Spot of paint loss about 6 in. above lower edge and 3 in. from right edge. Under UV: repaint in area of aforementioned loss, slightly opaque, uneven varnish, area of old repaint scattered throughout the sky, spot of new repaint upper right corner and center right edge, spot 5 in. below, spots in lower right corner, large area of repaint center bottom edge, another 1 1/2 in. spot above, other older areas of repaint scattered throughout. Interested parties should examine this work in person prior to bidding at the auction.
