Cabinet: Later top. Old restorations to the veneer generally. There is a vertical construction crack down each side, one of which shows evidence of previous restoration and will need filling. The base of the pilaster on the right side is missing, but can be replaced. The top is detached and needs to be secured to the main body of the cabinet. Prie-dieu: The piece has suffered severe insect damage as visible from photograph and there are several cracks in the top. The handle on the frieze drawer is a replacement and the front of the right short drawer has been re-carved with the seraphim head. Some of the mouldings have been replaced, e.g. base of right and left sides above the apron. There are remnants of a shelf internally. The rear bracket feet are later. There are also some smaller cracks generally which need filling. In otherwise good original condition.
