Description

  • height: 1.8cm, 9/16 in.
the surface enamelled in translucent white over a textured gold ground, the opening with chased laurel border, rose-cut diamond thumbpiece, with workmaster's initials, 56 standard

Condition

There is an enamel loss, approximately 4mm in width, to the upper portion of the egg. This area is at the back of the egg as it would hang when worn, with the diamond thumbpiece at front. The white enamel over gold gives a warm, pale yellow effect.
