Condition

Oil on canvas. The surface is slightly dirty and covered with a layer of slightly yellowed varnish. There is paint loss in the upper right corner and along the right and left edges of the picture. There is some very minor staining (some black spots) in the lower left corner and in the fabric of the girl's wrap. There is very minor craquelure in the girl's hair. Under UV pigment fluoresces and there appear to be retouches to the girl's arms, face and chest area, however varnish prevents a conclusive analysis. Held in a painted wood frame. Unexamined out of frame.
