Provenance
Baron Jean de Brouwer, arrière grand-père de l'actuel propriétaire. Collectionneur belge, il invita Zenaida Serebriakova au Maroc en 1928 et lui commanda six tableaux. Notre dessin a vraisemblablement été réalisé pendant ce voyage puis vendu ou offert au Baron.

Catalogue Note
Après des études à Saint Petersbourg Zinaida Serebriakova fit plusieurs voyages, notamment en Italie, en France et en Crimée. Elle s'installa en France à partir de 1924 et visita plusieurs fois le Maroc entre 1928 et 1932.
