Condition

Canvas is rather tightly relined. Overall condition is good with no major losses or areas of repair. An older, thick varnish remains. Some small white dots are showing and are scattered amongst the canvas, most notably in the background and in the upper portions of the sitters torso. Under U.V. there are a few repairs which are visible thorugh the varnish. These are most notable in the darkest shadows of the drapery in the right sleeve, as well as a few very minor spots scattered along the edges, but the flesh appears to be left untouched. In a carved and painted wood frame.
