Description

  • A woodland scene with rabbits and guinea pigs amongst the undergrowth
  • oil on canvas, unframed

Provenance

Probably purchased in Paris in the middle of the last century.

Condition

The catalogue illustration is representative. The unframed canvas has a relining which has become a little loose. There is a horizontal seam running 25 cm from the lower edge. Some craquelulre can be found on the paint surface but no major damages are obvious to the naked eye. Inspection under UV light reveals scattered retouchings and strengthenings along the craquelure.
