Condition

The catalogue illustration is representative for the actual painting. The flat single panel is in good condition and bevelled to all sides. The paint surface is under a slightly dirty varnish. The paint surface is generally sound, if a little thin in the sky and darker tones. Tiny scattered retouchings can be made out in the sky. Under UV light more extensive retouchings in the sky are revealed as well as some minor strengthening of the figures, which otherwise, appear nicely preserved. Offered in a plain wood frame in fair condition.
