Condition

The following condition report has been provided by Simon Parkes of Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc. 502 East 74th St. New York, NY 212-734-3920, simonparkes@msn.com , an independent restorer who is not an employee of Sotheby's. This painting has been quite recently restored and could be hung as is. The canvas is lined, the paint layer has been cleaned and is generally in lovely condition. The only restorations of note are in an area measuring approximately one inch square, situated in the fingers and flowers in the lower center. Elsewhere only a few dots of retouch have been added in the upper background and in the sleeve in the lower left. Overall the picture is in lovely state.
