Catalogue Note

rare first edition of lucas's first voyage, made between 1699 and 1703, to Egypt, Cyprus, Rhodes, Corfu, Cephalonia, Persia and Syria. Described by both Blackmer and Atabey as having just 10 plates, this copy has 11, but it is possible the work is often found with the small plates at pp.107 and 147 on one sheet.
