Diamond cross pendent necklace, 1880s

Description

The Latin cross embellished with scroll and stylised fleur de lys motifs, set with cushion-shaped, sinle- and rose-cut diamonds, to a chain designed as a series of rectangular links accented with diamond set trefoil elements, length approximately 470mm.

Condition

Diamonds estimated to weigh approximately 8.30 carats in total, mixed colour and clarity. Some stones damaged, chips and abrasions noticeable under magnification. Tarnish and scratches to the metal commensurate with age and wear. In good condition.
