Description

The pendant-brooch of  Moorish design, decorated with a floral motif set with circular-cut and cushion-shaped rubies and circular-cut diamonds against a black enamel ground, the stylized border applied with black enamel foliate scrolls to a blue-grey guilloché enamel ground and accented with rubies and pearls, mounted in yellow gold; together with three dress studs, the circular mother-of-pearl discs edged in rose-cut diamonds, each set to the centre with a pearl, and a pearl stickpin.  

Condition

Ruby of Burmese origin cannot be imported into the US. This piece may contain ruby of Burmese origin and therefore may not be able to be imported into the US. Certification of non-Burmese origin will be required before import of jadeite or ruby into the US. Please see our Important Notices and contact the jewellery department for further information. Pearls are white to slightly cream bodycolour, typical blemishes but overall smooth skin and good lustre. For further information please refer to the SSEF report. Rubies well matched in colour. Some loss to enamel on the pendant brooch, otherwise all with signs of normal wear, scratches commensurate with age and use. Well preserved, condition good.
