Condition

These paintings are both unlined and still stretched on their original stretchers. The paint layers are clean and varnished. There are no structural damages to either picture. In the lower sky in the composition with the sunset there are some slight cracks which have developed, which are not unstable and which have not been retouched. There is some slight frame abrasion on the left side of this picture which has been restored. In the other composition there are a couple of small retouches by the lake and in the lower sky. However, both pictures are in lovely state and should be hung as is. (This condition report has been provided courtesy of Simon Parkes Art Conservation, Inc.)
