GOLD, ENAMEL AND DIAMOND NECKLACE, LUCIEN FALIZE, CIRCA 1880

Description

Centring on a copper and white enamel profile of a lady within a border of acanthus scrolls, monograms and fleur-de-lys, suspended from chains of stylised quatrefoil linking decorated with white and black enamel, highlighted with rose-cut diamonds suspending a pearl drop, length approximately 380mm, unsigned.

Condition

Unsigned. French makers mark to ring (in a lozenge A and L between a foot). French assay marks for 18 carat gold. Numbered 83. Central enamel profile of a lady unsigned, crazed. Slight losses to black enamel on pendant. Possible restoration to one fleur-de-lys. Diamonds bright. Pearl measuring approximately 7.5mm, medium lustre, rosé overtones. Chased to reverse of pendant and monograms. Possibly something removed from pendant. Well articulated. In good condition.
