Condition

The panel is sound. There are several very thin lines of craquelure running horizontally across the foreground of the path and across the tree in the foreground, following the grain of the panel. There is some minor paint shrinkage to the upper right of the figure's head and to the figure's head. Apart from a pinhead-sized spot of retouching in the upper right quadrant, visible under UV light, this work is in good condition. Colours: The colours are much brighter and less yellow in the original.
