2.) Amerigo Vespucci – built in 1930, this full-rigged frigate serves as a training vessel for the Italian Navy today.
3.) Gorch Fock – German school sailing boat launched in 1958 in Hamburg, it is now used by the German Navy for training.
4.) Mayflower – the ship that brought the English puritan pilgrims in 1620 to settle in the New World in Plymouth, Massachusetts.
5.) Santa Maria – Christopher Columbus' flagship during his historic voyage to the Americas in 1492.
6.) Santa Catarina – Portuguese galleon considered the world's most prestigious floating fortress, with 140 canons ready in defense of the port of Lisbon.
7.) USS Constitution – built in 1797 and known as "Old Ironsides", employing 18th century state-of-the-art technology, it is the oldest warship still afloat in the world today.
8.) H.M.S. Victory – the flagship of Admiral Nelson during the battle of Trafalgar, built in 1979 this ship is the oldest in the Royal Navy.
9.) H.M.S. Bounty – the galleon was built in 1787 leaving England for Tahiti and is the scene of the infamous "Mutiny on the Bounty".
10.) La Boudeuse – Louis Antoine de Bougainville circumnavigated the world on this frigate in 1766, becoming the first French officer to complete the trip.
11.) Soleil Royal – this French battleship outmaneuvered the allied English-Dutch navy in the epic battle at Beachy Head, England in 1690.
12.) Ulysse – to mark its 150th anniversary in Switzerland, Ulysse Nardin anchored the three-mast schooner in 1996 in the river Rhine in the heart of Basel.
13.) Endeavour – In 1798, the legendary Captain James Cook set sail for the South Pacific and discovered the spectacular Great Barrier Reef and the coastline of Australia.
