Overall in very good condition. There are approximately 40-45 cracks to the glass tiles dispersed throughout the shade. As is commonly seen with conical hangers, the bronze beaded border has been re-stabilized to the bottom border of the shade at a few points around the perimeter. With surface soiling around many of the exterior lead lines, and to some of the recessed contours of the rippled textured glass. All of the patinated bronze hardware (ceiling cap, rod, chains, and socket cluster), as well as the sockets and switches, all appear to be period. A beautiful example of the model, displaying a highly artistic and well-varied glass selection which imparts the shade with a tremendous amount of depth and movement. In person the colors are more vibrant, especially in the various tonalities of the blue background glass, than seen in the catalogue illustration.
