of circular bombĂ© form, the pierced keyhole handle engraved with contemporary block initials P"G"K, the front  with later initials J.K.W. to H.M.W. within scrolls, marked inside bowl and underside of handle P. REVERE (Kane mark G)

Catalogue Note

The initials on the hande are those of Philip Godfrey Kast (d. 1791), a German-born physician, who practiced in Haverhill MA.  The later initials on the front of the porringer are those of Joanna (Kast) West and her husband Henry West.
