Description

  • length of tray over handle 26 1/2 in., height of coffee pot 10 1/2 in.
comprising: Teapot, smaller Teapot, Coffee Pot, Creamer, covered Sugar Bowl, and Waste Bowl, each of round vase form with foliate die-rolled borders, on a square plinths raised on four hoof feet, the stepped domed covers with urn finials, the handles with cornucopia sockets and rams' head terminals, each engraved on one side with contemporary foliate script monogram MBC, marked on bases F. & G. in rectangle and PHILADA. in rectangle, creamer with maker's mark only.  Together with an oval mahogany tray inlaid with a fruitwood shell, brass handles 

Condition

teapots slightly pushed near lower handle terminal but not through, creamer with small ding to body and dent near spout but not through, sugar owl slightly wobbly, tray with some losses and repairs to rim, overall good condition, teapot with ebony handle glued in one spot, other handles would have been originally Japanned.
