Condition

Overall very good condition. The chiffonier has been refinished. With minor surface scratches throughout. The proper right side of the top with a minor separation which extends the depth of the case. The same area with a small separation on the proper left side extending 4 inches. Small separations at the seams to the bottom register to the side of the case to the proper right and left sides consistent with age. The ivory inlays to the corners of the pieces with approximately 6 cracks to the ivory, which all remain stable. The ivory sabots with age cracks. The rest of the ivory inlays are stable and very intricately rendered. The locking devices are recent, and it is unknown whether the handles are original, as they are atypical for the model. However the handles are documented to have been on the piece since the 1970s. A superb work with stunning detailing to the ivory inlays throughout.
